The field of orthodontics has developed hugely in recent times and the advances in technology have been astounding.

For example, braces (called lingual braces) can now be fitted to the back of the teeth which obviously makes them much less visible than front-fitted ones while remaining just as effective.

Front-fitting braces are now available made from transparent ceramic making them much less noticeable than old-style metal ones.
